1. Are you
a full-time entertainer? Many entertainers are just
part-time magicians and their shows are just not
polished and refined for every audience. This is not to
say that all part-time entertainers are not qualified,
but be sure to ask other questions before hiring them;
they just might not have enough experience.
2. How do
I know you will show up for the event? Unfortunately,
many magicians have a reputation for showing up late, or
worse yet, not showing up at all! Make sure the
entertainer is going to send you a confirmation and/or
asks for a deposit so you know they'll really be there
on the day of your event!
3. Who is
your show appropriate for? In order to have the best
show and event ever, you must ask the performer who
their show is suitable for. If the performer tells you
that their show is perfect for everyone, they're not
being up front with you. Every performer's show is
unique and only works well for a certain age range or
type of audience.
4. Do you
guarantee your show? 99% of the entertainers
out there offer no
guarantee for their show. If you don't like it, they
say, "Oh, well!" and hope you won't tell anyone. Make
sure they offer a money-back guarantee so if you're not
happy, you don't pay.
